It’s been a while; did you miss me? Let’s talk about bras… well, one in particular.

As someone who’s had large breasts almost all my life (C cup at age 12!!), it hasn’t been easy finding a good sports bra that doesn’t make the girls look like a huge uniboob, especially as I got older and saggier. I sacrifice either support, comfort or aesthetics. To get some semblance of separation and support, I often wear a regular sports bra over an underwire bra. Then the girls become a hot, sweaty mess even before I begin exercising.

So when Glamorise contacted me about reviewing their newest sports bra, I was intrigued. Glamorise has long made bras for us bigger busty gals and even invented the first sports bra for tennis players. When I read about their Elite Performance Adjustable Wire Sports Bra, I just had to try it out.

What got my interest was that it’s two bras in one. There’s an inner bra with underwire for lift and separation. Then there’s the outer panel which can be adjusted by hooking it onto loops on the bra straps to control the boob bounce.

You might want to size up on the cup. I’m usually a 44DDD but that wasn’t an option (it goes from DD to F to G) so I ordered 44G. There was a tiny bit of side boob spillage but nothing uncomfortable. In fact, there is absolutely nothing uncomfortable about this bra. Their patented Wonderwire® is well padded… no poking or pinching.

 

OK, so the lift and separation are good but how was the support? EXCELLENT!!!! I hooked the panel onto the highest loops and, much to my fiancé’s amusement, did a wild, bouncy dance. Then I worked out on the elliptical. The girls and bra stayed in place… no riding up in the back. NOTE: hook the panels AFTER putting on the bra. Trust me, it will make your life a lot easier.

I kept the bra on for the remainder of my day which didn’t end until about 10:30pm and have worn it a couple of times since. It really is that comfortable. If you’re not a fan of underwire, the Elite Performance line also has 2 no-wire sports bras, including one that goes up to an I cup.
