1- enough or more than enough; plentiful
2- large and accommodating
3- used euphemistically to convey that someone is fat
Hi, I’m Emily but friends and family usually call me Emmy. Welcome to my little corner of the internet.
I’m 50-something, live in New Jersey and am the mother of 2 wonderful kids who are married to wonderful spouses. Hopefully soon, they’ll be beget wonderful little people who will call me Grandma. I’m engaged to a wonderful man who shares my love of silly jokes, Looney Tunes cartoons, The Godfather trilogy, super-hero movie marathons, cruises, calamari and eating ice cream out of the carton. Life is (if you haven’t figured it out yet) absolutely wonderful.
It wasn’t always wonderful. There was a long time when I didn’t love myself or my body at all. It was a bumpy journey towards confidence and self esteem. Along the way I found the support of an uplifting, positive fat/size acceptance community and met lots of amazing people who helped me realize that I’m awesome, worthy and beautiful from the top of my head to the tips of my toes. I am enough, sufficient… ample.
I never planned to write a fat/size acceptance blog but believe that respect and happiness shouldn’t depend on size/weight/shape/health. I want to help those who hate the image in the mirror learn to love it and know that they are awesome, worthy and beautiful. It’s never too late to embark on that journey. I want to fight against the people who believe that bodies should be a target of prejudice, ridicule and embarrassment unless they look a certain way… maybe open their eyes and minds to a different point of view.
I also didn’t plan to write a fashion blog but want to dress my body so it looks as fabulous on the outside as I feel on the inside and am finding my style. I hope to inspire women my age and size to celebrate… not hide… their bodies with jiggly arms, rolls, cellulite and big bellies.
I hope you enjoy my posts.
So glad ive found this site
