Adventures in Wear Testing: In the Navy (Shoes)

After reading my last blog where I confessed to wearing the wrong shoe size, a friend asked how she could measure her feet to figure out her size. So I searched online and found an easy video tutorial from HealthyFeetStore.com:

Using their method and size/width charts I measured my feet and confirmed that I am, indeed, an 8WW. However, like clothing, brands and styles aren’t all the same when it comes to fit so try on shoes in stores before ordering online or take advantage of free returns. Fullbeauty offers free returns on eligible items for their Shopper’s Club Members. They also include free returns with occasional shoe sales.

After trying on several styles, including these boots which didn’t fit me in the 8WW (sigh), I left with pair of Corri Mules in white and Lisette Moccasins in navy blue, both by Comfortview® Energy Flex®. I have sandals in various hues but navy is a color I never purchased in shoes or boots. They’re either black or brown because they go with everything, right? As it turns out, Lisette looks great with jeans and I got a few compliments on them. 20150515_230008_resizedI found a pair of light blue socks at the bottom of my sock drawer and wore the moccasins for work and dinner with friends. I put a back-up pair of sneakers in my tote but didn’t need them. With the side elastic, memory foam and heel cushioning, my feet were comfy all day and night long. Now to see what else I can pair Lisette Navy Blue with besides jeans. The Tropical Raspberry looks awfully cute too but I have to wait until they’re back in stock.

More on Corri soon.

(Disclosure: Although I get to keep the items I wear test, please be assured that my opinions on them are honest.)
