Hi Beauties! 

On Thursday, I had the pleasure of attending the launch event for WynneLayers. Designed by Marla Wynne and her daughter, Sydney, the collection features loose, light, flowing pieces in soft, coordinating colors to mix and match … perfect for Spring and Summer!

I love Marla’s designs but didn’t think any would fit me since I wear size 26/28 (sometimes 30/32) and the size chart ranges from 2 to 24. I said as much to Sue Hochberger (VP of Brands and Licenses at manufacturing company KBL Group International) so she pulled out the Baby Boucle V-Neck Sweater and Mixed Stitch Sweater-Knit Poncho in size 3X (22/24) and showed me to the dressing room.

Both are generously cut and look great! Afterwards, speaking to several women who were wearing Wynne designs, I discovered that Marla’s collections run large which, again, stresses the importance of not paying attention to size labels and just trying clothes on to see what fits comfortably and helps you feel amazing.

I also had the opportunity to speak with Marla and Sydney… lovely, gracious hosts… and thank them for the chance to preview their beautiful collection. I was especially excited when Marla mentioned future designs exclusively for plus sizes. Can’t wait!!!!

 

PS… if we look slightly sweaty in the photos it’s because the day was unseasonably warm and there was no air conditioning…. whew!!!
